Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She received an B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer, who has been involved in the world of film as well as television. She began acting on stage before appearing in mainstream, independent, as well as television shows. She became famous as Miranda Shaw, a character on ABC's Quantico. In BET's epic show The Book of Negroes she was a character. In addition, she receive critical acclaim for her performance, but she was also awarded and nominations. In 1995, she was the first actress to make her debut with The Tempest as Ariel.
