Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and two other awards, the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System as well as the FIPRESCI Prize. Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also part of her work. She portrayed Yasim Awar on BBC's five-episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca was a guest in the Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven. She appeared as Irma In Fury 2014 in which she played a German named aunt to Emma.
